This is Indy. Greetings from Canada!! I hope this finds you and yours well.
THIS IS ENGLAND!!! Excellent work here, especially how you have each gentleman in his appropriate setting. Yes, even though he was an evil little son of a bilge rat, I am including James Moriarty in this assessment. I have to say that the one you have of Sherlock says "London" in a nutshell--Big Ben, Whitehall, London Bridge, River Thames and London Eye. If that doesn't say "London," I don't know what does. At first, I didn't know about John but, when I looked closer at him, I did see the words, "St. Bart" and the first two letters of the word, "hospital."
With this, you have warmed the cockles of my half British heart and, if you don't mind, I'm putting this in my faves gallery.
Well, it was really just an issue of picking places that they could be associated with.
Sherlock had to be iconic London (being an iconic symbol of London in and of himself), so he was the easiest.
John was St. Bart's (because it's where he and Sherlock meet, also where he trained as a doctor) and then I chose the statue/fountain of Eros from Piccadilly Circus. (I needed something else compositionally and, with Eros being the god of love, I thought that was appropriate. John is definitely the heart of the pair of them and he's also known as being a bit of a 'ladies man', so yeah.. Eros. XD)
Moriarty was another easy one -- One of the most memorable moments from the series is when he infiltrates the Tower of London and 'steals' the crown jewels. I chose that angle of the building because it had what's referred to as the 'traitor's gate' on the side of the Thames, which I just thought was a funny detail, considering the character.
